Frequently asked questions
What format is the workbook?
A 137-page printable PDF you download right after checkout. A copy of the download link is also emailed to you. Print the pages you need and keep them in a binder, or fill them in on a tablet.
Does it replace OSHA's 300, 300A and 301 forms?
No. OSHA's own forms are free at osha.gov. Our pages are practice and prep worksheets: you work out each case, the year-end totals and the incident details, then copy them onto the official forms or an equivalent form.
Do I have to keep an OSHA 300 log?
The recordkeeping chapter walks through what 29 CFR 1904.1 and 1904.2 say about company size and industry, with the rule numbers to check. It does not decide for you. Every employer must still report a work-related death, in-patient hospitalization, amputation or loss of an eye (29 CFR 1904.39).
What do the toolbox talks cover?
52 one-page talks, one for each week: falls, ladders, scaffolds, trenches, electrical, tools, vehicles and equipment, PPE, silica, lead, asbestos, hazard communication, fire, heat, cold, confined spaces and emergencies. Each sums up the OSHA rule on the topic, or says when there is no rule written just for it, and has a sign-in sheet at the bottom.
Can I copy the pages?
Yes. Copy the forms, checklists and talks as many times as you need for your own company.
Who is it for?
Small contractors and owner-operators who want their crew's safety paperwork in one place: injury records, weekly talks, inspections, training records and a written safety program.
